As Chair and CEO of Carbon Clean, Aniruddha Sharma overseesthe company’s strategy, commercial growth, and project delivery operations. Heis also Chair of the Board.
Since co-founding Carbon Clean in 2009, Aniruddha hassteered the company through several investment cycles, including funding fromthe UK Government and US Department of Energy. In May 2022, Carbon Clean set arecord among point source carbon capture scale-ups with a Series C round thatattracted $150m in funding.
Under Aniruddha’s leadership, Carbon Clean has expandedglobally, opening offices in the US and Canada, and growing its footprint inthe Middle East, Europe and Asia. In January 2025, Carbon Clean was namedBritain’s 7th fastest-growing private hardware company in The Sunday Times 100Tech, and in March, it also placed 7th in the TIME’s list of the World’s TopGreenTech Companies of 2025.
Aniruddha graduated from the prestigious Indian Institute ofTechnology Kharagpur with Master’s and Bachelor’s (Hons) degrees in Statisticsand Informatics.
