Chris is a degree qualified Chartered Engineer and spent the first half of his career in industrial, commercial and municipal energy plant operations, including industrial steam, power generation and Waste to Energy plants, holding senior operations and commercial roles.  

This was followed by 15 years working in the upstream oil and gas sector, also in operations and commercial roles, before spending 4 years in the carbon storage sector prior to joining Veri Energy in August 2024.

Currently, as Head of Stores Development, Chris is leading the development of Veri Energy’s merchant carbon storage NPT business, working closely with Veri’s parent EnQuest and the other owners of the Sullom Voe Terminal in Shetland to repurpose existing assets and to position Veri’s projects as an Energy Transition Hub
