Progressive Energy, formed over 25 years ago, originated the HyNet Track 1 Cluster and built the delivery consortia anchored on Eni’s Liverpool Bay CO2 T&S. Alongside capture from Energy from Waste and Cement production, HyNet will unlock a regional hydrogen economy. It will deliver hydrogen storage and associated pipeline infrastructure connecting producers, to storage and users. Progressive is a shareholder in the EETH CCUS-enabled hydrogen project and developing electrolytic hydrogen projects, and is developing hydrogen to power projects. Progressive, is developing the Peak Cluster in a Joint Venture which includes the National Wealth Fund. This is the world’s largest cement decarbonisation cluster, to abate 40% of the UK’s cement and lime production. Progressive is in joint venture to develop a CCUS-enabled hydrogen project at Bacton which acts as an anchor for CO2 storage in the SNS, which also unlock CO2/H2 links with Europe.
