Dr. Jan Siedentopp is currently working as Deputy Head of Unit in the Department for Industry of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWE) in the unit dealing with Carbon Management topics including CCUS. Before he held numerous positions within the Federal Ministry and was posted in the Permanent Representation of the Federal Republic of Germany to the European Union in Brussels working as a Trade Counsellor.
Before joining the Federal Ministry, Dr. Siedentopp worked in the financial services sector in Sweden and the United Kingdom. He holds an Economics University degree and received his PhD from the Freie Universität Berlin.
