
Els is the Business Opportunity Manager for Shell’s CarbonCapture and Storage (CCS) projects in the Southern North Sea. Her team isdedicated to advancing the three awarded appraisal licenses towards the StoragePermit Stage. Additionally, the CCS team focuses on creating the rightconditions for CCS to become a self-sustaining business, aiming tosignificantly reduce industrial CO2 emissions and remove barriers to global CCSdeployment.
Els has been with Shell for 18 years, starting her career asa geophysical engineer. She later transitioned to development manager roles,working on the development of oil and gas fields in the UK. Over the past 12years, she has been involved with various UK fields, from East of Shetland tothe Southern North Sea. Els also has extensive offshore experience, havingspent several years working as a logging while drilling engineer.
