
Fiona Auty leads RWE Generation’s Energy Transition team, which is responsible for the decarbonisation of a portfolio of power plants generating around 17GW of electricity across the UK, Germany and the Netherlands. Fiona has worked in the energy industry her full professional career. After graduating the University of Nottingham with a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, she has worked on the technologies and topics key to the energy transition: wind, wave and tidal, hydrogen, and modern combined-cycle gas turbines paired with carbon capture and storage (CCS). In her current role, she focuses on the development of CCS and hydrogen conversion projects at RWE’s international power station fleet.
In her spare time, Fiona enjoys playing cricket, captaining a women's team in her hometown, and being a taxi for her two children.
