Jonathan Baker-Brian

Jonathan Baker-Brian is the Head of Policy at SSE Thermal, where he is responsible for leading policy development and government engagement. SSE Thermal owns and operates almost 8GW of flexible power generation across GB and Ireland, and is leading development of low-carbon dispatchable power projects across hydrogen and carbon capture. 

Previously, Jonathan held various roles in the UK Civil Service, including as advisor on energy and net zero to the Prime Minister. As Head of Power CCS Policy and Power CCS Deployment, he was instrumental in conceiving, developing, and delivering the Dispatchable Power Agreement which supports the deployment of power CCS plants.
