
Juho is Coordinator of the Clean Energy Ministerial CCUS Initiative. The Initiative Member governments have joined together to accelerate CCUS deployment across all sectors. Juho works closely with the country Co-Leads and all sixteen Initiative Member governments, and is responsible for the day-to-day running of all the activities of the Initiative.
Prior to this, between 2010-2018, Juho was Head of Carbon Capture and Storage Unit at the International Energy Agency, and acting Head of Energy Technology Policy Division. Before joining the IEA, Juho held several positions at Eurelectric in Brussels.
In addition to the CEM CCUS Initiative, Juho is also Coordinator of the Mission Innovation CDR Mission, working with the Mission member countries to advance innovation and policy development of technological carbon dioxide removals.
Juho holds a M. Sc in politicalscience, economics and constitutional law from University of Turku, Finland. Heis based in Paris, France.
