
Kash Burchett is an energy economist with over 18 years’ experience in the energy-climate space. In his current role at HSBC, he leads on the techno-economic analysis of carbon management investments. He was worked on equity raises, project finance and other solutions across a range of carbon management sectors including CO2 storage, capture, utilisation and removals. Prior to joining HSBC, Kash worked in Group Economics at BP as a key member of the Energy Outlook team. He has also worked in corporate strategy at EDF Energy and led the CCUS workstream for the Energy Transition Commission at Systemiq. Kash holds an MSc. In Energy Economics and an MA in International Relations.
