
Lars-Jakob Alveberg is an Assistant Director Generalin the Norwegian Ministry of Energy, where his recent focus has been theNorwegian Longship project and CCS-policy development, as well as low- and zerocarbon energy analysis of industries, markets, and regulatory development.
His previous positions in the Ministry includes anumber of regulatory roles in the Oil and Gas Department, something that alsoincluded work leading to the award of the first storage license for CO2on the Norwegian Continental Shelf to the Northern Lights project.
From 2021 to 2024, Lars-Jakob was Norway’s Counsellorfor Energy in the United States, advising the Norwegian Ambassador and theGovernment of Norway on energy policy-developments in the US.
Mr. Alveberg holds a master’s degree from Warwick UniversityBusiness School and has a background as an officer in the Royal Norwegian Navy.
