Mike Lockett

Mike Lockett is the Country Chair at Uniper UK, where he is responsible for a team of around 1000 energy professionals providing secure gas and power supplies from the company’s six gas-fired power stations, and fast-churn gas storage facility. Mike is responsible for delivering Uniper’s decarbonisation strategy in the UK, which includes investments in Carbon Capture and Storage, Renewables, and low carbon hydrogen.

Previously, Mike was Chief Commercial Officer for Uniper’s European Power business, running a commodity trading floor in Germany, and 24/7 control centres in Italy, Netherlands, France, Sweden, Germany and UK.  He was responsible for monetising Uniper’s 25GW of power generation assets, and physical and financial commodity trading activity across Europe.

Mike is a member of the Supervisory Board of EEX Group, a global marketplacefor the exchange of energy commodities based in Leipzig, Germany. He is also amember of the Executive Group of the Independent Generators Group in the UK,and the Executive Committee of Hydrogen UK.
