Mike Lockett

Mike Lockett isthe Country Chair at Uniper UK, where he is responsible for a team of around 1000energy professionals providing secure gas and power supplies from the company’ssix gas-fired power stations, and fast-churn gas storage facility. Mike isresponsible for delivering Uniper’s decarbonisation strategy in the UK, whichincludes investments in Carbon Capture and Storage, Renewables, and low carbonhydrogen.

Previously, Mike was Chief Commercial Officer for Uniper’s European Powerbusiness, running a commodity trading floor in Germany, and 24/7 controlcentres in Italy, Netherlands, France, Sweden, Germany and UK.  He wasresponsible for monetising Uniper’s 25GW of power generation assets, andphysical and financial commodity trading activity across Europe.

Mike is a member of the Supervisory Board of EEX Group, a global marketplacefor the exchange of energy commodities based in Leipzig, Germany. He is also amember of the Executive Group of the Independent Generators Group in the UK,and the Executive Committee of Hydrogen UK.
