
Rich joined NEP in June and is leading the delivery of the UK’s first large-scale CO₂ transportation and storage infrastructure. Before this, he spent four years in the UK Government, where he was Major Projects Lead for CCUS and Hydrogen in the Infrastructure & Projects Authority. An experienced industry leader, he draws on 28 years in Shell’s Upstream business in technical, commercial and leadership roles. Between 2016 and 2019, he was Managing Director of Shell in Norway, during which time he helped to establish the "Northern Lights" CO2 Transport & Storage joint venture.
