
Roze Wesby is the VP CCUS, Head of Business Development at Holcim, leading the company’s global strategy to scale Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage (CCUS) solutions across its operations. In this role, she drives the commercialization and deployment of breakthrough technologies to accelerate decarbonization in the building materials industry—an essential step toward achieving net-zero emissions.
With a proven track record in digital transformation and industrial innovation, Roze has spent over a decade pioneering large-scale technology deployments in heavy industries. Prior to leading CCUS at Holcim, she spearheaded the Plants of Tomorrow program, overseeing the largest roll-out of Industry 4.0 technologies in the sector. Under her leadership, Holcim implemented over 2,000 digital and process innovations, driving CHF 100 million in annual business impact while cutting CO₂ emissions by more than half a million tonnes.
Before joining Holcim, Roze held global leadership roles in ABB across the Process Industries, Mining and Transportation sectors, where she developed digital solutions that transformed industrial operations worldwide. She has advised national governments and European policymakers on energy and infrastructure innovation, leveraging her expertise in new business models, emerging technologies, and value-driven transformation.
Roze holds a Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Exeter. A recognized industry thought leader, she is a frequent speaker on industrial decarbonization, digital innovation, and the future of sustainable manufacturing.
