Susan is a Senior Client Advisor working within Lockton’s Global Energy team in London. With more than 35 years of experience in the insurance market, which until 2019 was on the carrier side, most notably for AIG in various roles underwriting, managing and leading US and global divisions and practices.
Susan spent almost 25 years working in the US and in 2022 relocated to London to expand her work beyond traditional marine and energy to include energy transition and decarbonization with a focus on carbon capture and storage. She was deeply involved in the consultancy and insurance advisory work with UK and European regulators on behalf of the developers of the first 3 large-scale offshore CCS projects.
In London she is focused on client relationship management and ensuring, where appropriate, that the entire suite of insurance solutions, talent, resources, tools, products and innovation are identified, employed and where in the best possible service of addressing and managing risk across all disciplines. Her experience in multiple property, casualty, and specialty lines of business has helped grow deep technical knowledge around coverage, wordings, and contract analysis, as well as insurance program design and strategy.
