Zulfiqar Kapasi is a Mechanical Project Engineer passionate about tackling some of the toughest challenges in the energy transition. Currently at Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, he develops and delivers carbon capture projects across the EMEA region — leading feasibility studies, design concepts, and engineering execution for Net Zero solutions.
Before this, Zulfiqar worked for a Carbon Capture Startup, helping to design and build a pioneering Carbon Capture Pilot Plant. He has also held key engineering roles within the defence sector, spanning naval platforms, propulsion systems, and advanced combustion design. His cross-sector experience — from defence to decarbonisation — allows him to bridge technical, operational, and strategic needs, bringing people together to solve complex problems and drive practical solutions towards a low-carbon future
